Our teaching takes place in a variety of ways. Students in Scotland will generally attend in-person at one of our hubs where a facilitator will guide you through pre-recorded videos, lead you in classroom discussion and answer any questions you have. Those who can’t attend a hub will work through exactly the same material as part of an online cohort.
Our teaching style is based on community learning and all of our teaching and assessments are tailored in such a way that they enable and equip you as you serve in your local church.

Students will have access to the Ragged portal which will enable them to complete their weekly reading in preparation of the classes and complete the weekly comprehension tests which cover that week’s class material. Students will also use the portal to submit their final assessment for each module which will either be an exam, an essay or a presentation.
Each year is split into 2 semesters and students will cover 3 modules per semester. Students will progress through the modules 1 module at a time.

At this stage, we have chosen not to pursue formal accreditation. We believe it is valuable to our students for Ragged's courses to be endorsed and affiliated with theologically robust, rigorous institutions and ministry partners whose ethos and approach closely align with ours.
All Ragged faculty members hold teaching and ministry degrees from accredited institutions, ensuring the academic credibility of our training. Choosing not to be bound by formal accreditation in the UK also allows us to maintain flexibility in how we teach and assess, making our courses more practical, contextual, and accessible, especially for those serving in hard places.
